I have bet on millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have wagered on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of funds at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to beat the game.
I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have bet on a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get rich with this tactic or defeat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that blackjack appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets very exciting on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a number of years back with $750 after 20 minutes using this technique! And a few weeks ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can relinquish a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you witness playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager $5
Take $5 paid to you, leave the first $5 wager
Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of $10
Wager 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar bet
Wager $10
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Wager $20
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Wager twenty dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial forty dollar bet
Bet 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Wager $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you departed at this instance you would be up $315 !!
It’s difficult to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and lower your wager or the end result will not be the same.
