I have enjoyed millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have played online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent a lot of cash at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to defeat the casino.
I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have gambled on a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this tactic or beat the casino, still you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the fact that blackjack appears to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely thrilling sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Venetian a few years ago with $750 after 35 mins using this method! And a few months ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the streaks you notice playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 5 dollar wager

Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar

Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial ten dollar wager

Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20
Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager
Wager $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Bet $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar wager
Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80
Bet 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 160 dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It is iffy to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
